Ancestral Initiation - Chavin, Peru

In the birthplace of ancient civilizations (i.e., Huaca Prieta, Chavin, Moche, Chimú, Chachapoya, Inca), where pyramids touch the sky, the desert is still filled with secrets, and the mountains and jungles are filled with temples, the spirit of Huachuma (San Pedro) has guided seekers for thousands of years. There is evidence suggesting that the sacred use of this cactus goes back to 6,000 BCE, and it played prominent role for the Chavin.
With the protection of our ancestors and the palpable energy of sacred locations, we will share this journey together to awaken the wisdom that lives within each one of us. Among a sacred temple, an ancient rock forest, and pristine natural wonders, this immersive retreat combines conscious breathwork and three huachuma ceremonies, each held in places of profound ancestral energy. Together, we will walk in the footsteps of the ancient civilizations, protected by the wisdom of the land and the spirit of the medicine. This is more than a retreat - it’s an initiation into deeper layers of yourself, your lineage, your breath, your prayer, and the rich history of Peru.
The Hosts
I, Claudia Nanino, am a master breathwork facilitator, crystal curator, and an explorer of non-ordinary states of consciousness. I've led thousands of breathwork journeys and never cease to be amazed by the power of this modality and the type of people it attracts: fellow seekers and self healers (you). I've been deeply focused on healing my heart and am eager to share the knowledge and practices that have benefitted me, including master plant teachers such as Huachuma.
I'm honored to partner with Maestro Martin, whose family served as caretakers for the Chavin temple for generations. He was born and lived in the temple until he was 26, and now carries forward the wisdom and traditions he learned from his grandmother. I feel honored to work with him and his wife Margarita, learn from him, and support his family and work.
Huachuma (San Pedro), is a heart-opening plant medicine traditionally used in the Andes and known to cultivate connection, compassion, and clarity. By softening the boundaries of your mind, it allows for deep emotional healing, the release of old patterns, and an expanded sense of yourself. My experience with this psychedelic medicine is that it also deeply reconnects us with nature and a undeniable sense of oneness. The level of love and gratitude you feel will crack your heart open in the most stunning way. It is incredibly beautiful.
The Invitation
Time/Place
When: Monday September 28, 2026 to the morning of Sunday October 4 2026 (7 days, 6 nights total).

Fly in and out of Huaraz, Peru. All transportation provided once in Huaraz.
Itinerary (subject to change)
Day 1: Arrive in Huaraz (see flight details below), where you will be picked up by shuttle. Check into hotel, followed by opening circle, breathwork, and a group dinner.
Day 2: Ceremony in the Chavin Temple. Dinner is included.
Day 3: Visit the Chavin Museum, breathwork, light yoga and rest.
Day 4: Ceremony in the Hatun Machay aka Bosque do Rocas, dinner included.
Day 5: Travel to Huaraz, hot springs, breathwork, light yoga, and rest.
Day 6: Ceremony at Laguna Llanganuco. Dinner is included.
Day 7: Depart Huaraz to Lima by plane. You have the option to stay in Huaraz or Lima (I highly recommend a day of rest) or return home.

Accommodations
Accommodations are simple, but comfortable. What we may lack in amenities, we more than make up for in authenticity, intimacy, and the rare experience of being welcomed into a place still connected to ancestral traditions.

All transportation is included from once in Huaraz. Please arrive via Latam flight LA2030 Departing Lima LIM at 11:25 AM and arriving in Huaraz ATA at 12:30 PM, on 9/28/26. Please plan to depart via LATAM flight LA2031, departing Huaraz ATA at 1:10 PM arriving in Lima LIM at 2:10 PM, on 10/4/26. You are free to choose different flights leaving Huaraz, and provide your own transporation to the airport, which just outside of town.

Dinner is included on the first night and after each ceremony, four total. If you have specific dietary needs or severe intolerances, please check in with me before registering. All other meals are not included. *If you are Vegan or Vegetarian - let's chat. While possible, there are limited options and I want to make sure you are comfortable with this.*

Cancellations made within 45+ days notice will receive a credit worth 50% of retreat and accommodation costs paid applicable towards any of my offerings. Cancellations made with 44 or less days notice, will receive no refund or credit.
